Mysteries of Mediocrity 3.1

THE GOOD:
One of my first games, at the time it was really good.
A blockbuster selection of cars, such as the New York City Bus, London Double - Decker, NYC and Londom Taxis, and much more street goodness.
New York City and London are modeled fairly well, they're distinct in appearance...
Story Mode is easy to follow and is fun the first couple of times around.
Multi-player rules, it's always entertaining to see who has more street cred between you and your friends.
The original.
THE BAD:
The music sounds like it was ripped off of a mix of Ricky Martin, Hanson, Backstreet Boys, all instrumental, all techno. Absolutely horrid.
The graphics are very primitive, seeing as this is launch date material.
Collision detection needed some work, as well as mechanics. Some cars responded too well, while others didn't.
A - I can at times be as intelligent as an alien who lands on Roswell on purpose.
No NoS? Get out.
Still has the Twin Towers in them.
SUMMARY:
I got this game, I believe it was second after Twisted Metal Black. Anyway, the fact that I, at the time still lived in New York, and one of this game's locales was in the Big Apple, I was thrilled...and for awhile, it was bucket after bucket, hour after hour of fun. It really was good. But after awhile, as with anything. It gets stale and boring. Yawn was my reaction the third time through the mission mode, as with the vehicles who never had any customization besides the color. The game itself does introduce a basic understanding of the average do's of a street racer, and I do credit Rockstar for it. The sequels are worlds better though, so only buy this if you're really desparate. Seeing as Midnight Club 2 is around the same price point, you have to be extremely desperate, or collecting.

Midnight Club 3.5

THE GOOD:
Fast cars, fun races, ALOT of freedom, etc...
THE BAD:
So-so graphics, races can get confusing at times, music is a disappointment.
SUMMARY:
When I first started playing this game I really hated it to hell with a passion. I was going to return it after only 5 minutes of play... that would've been a big mistake. I lost my receite and so I thought about selling it on ebay or something, but I was compelled to play it for some reason.

What really gave me a bad impression was the graphics on the car models and how the characters would say the same *bleep*ING thing over and over again. But then I actually started racing and I was surprised at how much fun it really was. I couldn't put the controller down, I was hooked to the game.

After I beat the city champ and went off to London the cars started looking good... damn good, the lighting effects even keep the crappy cars from looking too bad. Multi-player is a blast too, you'll be in for hours of fun, especially that capture the flag mode.

That pretty much sums it all up. Trust me, go ahead and buy this game, it's more addictive that nicotine laced-caramal filled crack.

SUMMARY:
I think the whole world loves this game.. well i do. The speed you go down streets is pretty cool. With a car, i once i done a side wheely and rode up the side of a buildig....and landed!!!I don't no why, but you can enter a church....maybe to pray to god to beat this HARD GAME!!!!!!!I love dodging traffic and running over people!! hehe p.s. I LOVE NOS!!!!!!!!!

Fun game... 4.0

THE GOOD:
Great graphics, great gameplay, great replay value, great storyline, fun objectives, fun missions, cool characters, cool cars....
THE BAD:
Not much really...maybe the difficulty level. Its near impossible to beat the final boss...
SUMMARY:
I found this game to be a lot of fun. Its a great driving/racing game and its sure to entertain you for hours. You just don't want to put the controller down once you dig you're claws into this one. Its a lot of fun and the multi-player is a blast too.

Multi-player has loads of different modes to choose from and you and you're friends won't get bored for hours.

I can't wait for Midnight Club 2 due out in a couple of months!

Overall Outcome: Buy It!

Midnight Club 4.2

THE GOOD:
Nice Graphics, Good array of different races, Plenty of cars to choose from, quite challenging at times.
THE BAD:
Things that your opponent racers say get old fast, multiplayer is somewhat lacking...
SUMMARY:
If only I had bought this game sooner. This game is definitely well worth your time. Basically, in this game you race a group of very challenging racers, known as the "Midnight Club". You race them in a variety of ways. First, you must prove yourself to the racer by being able to tail them through the city, while they pull off many wreckless moves. Next, you must race in a "Waypoint Race", which basically is a race to get all the checkpoints and to the finish before the opponent and their "Homeboys". After this, you will get their cell phone number, and you can call them anytime to race head to head. In these races, you race head to head, through a specific order of checkpoints, and to the finish, racing against the opponent, and the clock, as these are timed. So, it can be quite challenging. When you win, you get their car, and then they get a better car to race you with. Each opponent has 3 cars that you can win, so this is time consuming. Then, after getting everyone's cars in the first city, you must re-race them to unlock the city champ. Once you beat him, you move on to the second city, where you go through the same process, except after the city champ there, you must race the World Champion, and let me tell you it is NOT easy. Have fun.

About the negatives, basically the only bad things are the sayings. Each opponent has like 3 things to say, and they say them over and over and over, and it gets annoying after awhile, expecially one of the racers. Also, the Multiplayer is kind of short lived, it doesn't really take much to get bored with it I thought.

Still a really good game though, I recommend getting it if you are like me, and didn't want to buy it.

THE GOOD:
The cars Kick azz! So does the ability to drive antwere! The cars will just keep geting beta and beta.
THE BAD:
The opponents say the same thing too much. like lata suka being said 20 times over is annoying.
SUMMARY:
The cars you can get look real good! people say they look like boxes WHERE THE HELL WERE THEY BORN? Honestly nothing much wrong with this game. A most buy if you like racing and have a PS2.

Midnight Club Street Racing 5.0

SUMMARY:
This game is a great game - I recommend it to anyone who is the slightest bit interested in racing games. You are a taxi driver who follows hookmen in order to defeat the boss. As you progress, better, faster cars are unlocked to be available to you. The game itself is very creative - how many other developers created a city where you had to tail a guy for a few minutes in order to race him through waypoints in a city? And the graphics are excellent, almost no draw in and the reflections are superb. The soundtrack is also very good. What makes the game great, though, is the engine. You can hit everything, race through anywhere (over buildings, through alleys) in order to hit all the waypoints and get to the finish first. This game is one of my favorite racing games, so go and buy it for yourself, its only 19.99!

Pretty Fun.... 3.0

THE GOOD:
The games concept of street racing is ultimately different and fun, same for the upgrades, the game makes you play it until you get the next upgrade for you car (Keeps you guessing)
THE BAD:
The handling of the cars is unrealistic, thats about it
SUMMARY:
The concept of the games "Street Racing" is different than all of the professional racing games. The game has many cars to keep you busy to get brand new ones, its fast action gameplay keeps you on your seat for hours on end (Until you opponant crashes into you), and the interesting characters are more than they look....a definate game to try

Midnight Club 4.0

THE GOOD:
Nice souped up cars and a fun cruise mode that makes u feel as though you're driving a real car.
THE BAD:
The only thing that is a little annoying in this game is the fact that there is no view from inside the cars and in a game like this where there are real streets there should be one to provide realism.
SUMMARY:
This game is practically the same game as the Microsoft made Midtown Madness series. They are developed by the same Rockstar corporation which also makes the amazing GTA3 game for the PS2. If you have played Midtown Madness then you'll really like this game because it is the same and more. The graphics are sweet with realistic buildings and roads in two really fast cities of New York and London. The game differs from the Midtown Madness game because it has a very nice career mode which keeps you gripped into the game. I really like how in career mode that you have to chase down a character to start a race for their cars. THe game also has some cool Arcade modes which keeps the playr busy after he's done the career. I found this game to be a really nice one because it gives you the freedom of cruisng in a real city. It's a game that is different than a normal racing game such as GT3 because there is a real city with trffic which you get to terrorise. Sweet game and with a really low price its a steal to get now !

Ummm... maybe a few pop ups from the cars.
SUMMARY:
This is the second best (After GT3) racing game for the PS2! Gameplay is hard, easy, and in between. The story is just street racing . he cars can get damaged. All cars are modified cars in real life. If you like racing games, This is the one to get! Buy it. You don't even have to rent it to see what is good about it!

like i said above this game was pretty good when it came out now there are a lot better racing games to buy
SUMMARY:
I think i got this game with too high expectations.
I was expecting grand turismo but like a street race.
I think i played this game for 16 minutes and i never
played it agin. After playing grand theft auto 3 it just seemed like a rip-off of the the driving missions in that game it also handles just like the cars in GTA3 which makes since. it is made by rockstar and as for raceing grand turismo 3 a-spec is way better.
if your thinking of buying this game just save your money and get Grand theft Auto 3 its pretty much Midnight club and way more.
for 20 bucks i don't feel too ripped off but still
kinda alot of money Grand turismo 3 is probly the best
bargin bin title.

A great game for the PS2 gaming console. this is a great racing game especially if you like cars with nirtos. this game has a great rating and i sure if you bouht it you would enjoy sure you will get mad at it sometimes but don't forget neoseeker has a midnight club message board on this game and walkthoughs. but dont worry about the loading it just takes time to load up its great graphics!

THE GOOD:
graphics are ok And the car handels extremely well but thats it for the good
THE BAD:
the setup is very poor your score should be kept bye mooney and should be able to buy desired cars instead of getting a car one at a time in a direct order

the comment "The best ps2 racing game" is not true this does not even touch waht GT3 has accomplished all in all i think most games for ps2 rank higher than this

THE GOOD:
It is a very fun game and keeps you occupied for some time. It is very fun to play in 2 player mode and has alot of secrets, which I like in a game.
THE BAD:
The graphics are of an N64 game to me let alone a PS2 game. They suck! The view is horrible and is not fun on 1-player mode. Even the easiest levels tend to be hard and annoying and without a second player, the game is totally dull.
SUMMARY:
I rated this game a 3.2 out of 5. If you want to buy this game I reccommend that you have a friend to play with most of the time. Like I said: It is boring with one player. I would not buy this game if I had the money and do not reccommend that you do.

THE GOOD:
this game is challenging and has pretty good cars. has good locations and some cool buildings.
THE BAD:
only 2 cities to race in. no cars like ferraris or porsches. just street cars. it gets boring after a while because it is nearly impossible to beat some of the racers in new york and there is too much traffic. the cops also come after you in races for the smallest things.
SUMMARY:
you should buy this game. capture the flag is the best!
i can tell midnight club 2 will be awesome.

Midnightclub Street Racing 1.0

I loved the game until I descovered it had a glich preventing me from playing half of the it. I have heard about many other people that encountered the same problem. Upon numerous atempts to contact Rockstar Games I was unsuccessful. I have lost all faith in the company, and will never purchase one of there games again. I would advise thinking pretty hard before you do too. There are many other companys that can be trusted and provide flawless software for your money.

This game has so much to do and somethings are not so easy to get and that is whats so fun about it>
THE BAD:
All game can have better picture, So its not just this one but all of them.....
SUMMARY:
I want to see better buildings and more stuff to do. Not only do i want to see better buildings but people and they just jump out of the way of you when you are not even going to hit them not real. The game rules of all racing games i paid for this game and i told my self to never to buy a racing game. You see, I had to because something told me to.

THE GOOD:
The ability to roam all over the streets of New York and London. The details are incredible.
THE BAD:
The boss race in New York is next to impossible. I still haven't been able to beat him.
SUMMARY:
I wish they had Chicago too. Well, I guess they can put it in Midnight Club 2.

The graphics, running down people,racing new and faster cars, crusin,Challenging.
THE BAD:
The music
SUMMARY:
When you start to race faster cars try to get a car that fast but still has good handling or you'll just keep losing control over your car. Most of the faster oponents are clumbsy and will have a miscue every so often so if you have better handling and don't wreck you can just fly by them when they make a mistake.

Arcade Mode, Career Mode, Cruisin', and getting on the aircraft carrier.
THE BAD:
Finding your way around in a race can be difficult.
SUMMARY:
When you get to the bigger races I suggest to use or get a car with good handling. One bump from behind and you are airborn.
